About

I really enjoy playing with color and texture. I work with acrylic primarily, sometimes in combination with found objects and bits of refuse. I usually question if I can make art with something before throwing it out. Emotions play a huge part in my inspiration, as does nature. I believe that inspiration can come from almost anything and art is most certainly in the eye of the beholder.

I was born in Shreveport, LA and grew up about an hour south in Natchitoches. I studied art at Northwestern State University, but became restless before I finished and went on to experience life in Texas, Arkansas, and North Carolina before returning to Louisiana. I enjoy experimenting with different acrylic techniques and often add other elements such as paper, fabric, and found objects.
